busy busy busy!

Time has flown lately! I feel so busy! so much has happened in December, i can hardly believe the new year will be here in 4 days! I am excited because for new years we alwasy go to my friend Jessicas house for a partay! it's so much fun it's a great way to end my year!;) so, this is what happened to me
*I had to go to Missouri to go to a funeral. I missed a week of school:o i did all my makeup work though like a responsible student;)
*so far, i should have had 6 basketball games. the first one was cancelled, the second one i had to go to a cancert, the third and fourth i was in Missouri, and the fifth and sixth got cancelled. I mean i love the snow and all, but when it cancels my games, it makes me a little bit frustrated!
*it's that time of year for school work! my teachers are crazy! I have two book reports to do, whichh stinks, because I haven't even started yet! I read the books, I just don't want to write the 5 paragraph essay! I am also relieved that to Kill a Mockingbird is done! I still haven't done my chapter summaries though, i am only on chapter 19 haha, which is terrible! I do have to say though, it was a very good book! Science is just plain old hard! I guess i get the moon phases, but other wise its challenging! I do love this unit though! Space really holds my interest! it's just so cool to think about the stars and the black holes and the other planets! did you hear about the planets the astrologists think are out there? apperantly there are an estimated 32 planets just out of our solar system that have earth like qualities and could support life. my facts may be wrong though, so don't quote me.. but think, how cool would that be! to travel out of this solar system, to see the milky way, or super novas!

anyway, now that i could my science nerd out of me, i gotta go, hope you didn't mine the extremely long post;)

So, I haven't updated in a while.. and Jess was nagging me, so I am now. Lots have happened. My first bball game is TOMORROW! But I am missing it for the dumb concert:P

Also, I made all county band and Orchestra:D I will probably only do band, because I don't want to miss to much basketball practice:). soo. thats all she wrote!

I am really not sure if anybody ever really reads this anymore, so leave a comment if you do! I know I haven't updated in more then I month, so it's been bad:P

Not much has happened.. I have been playing outside a lot.. Kickball and basketball are what Ib have been doing!
School is going great! My classes are really easy, and I like all of my teachers, they are really good and they are nice!
I am trying to put myself out there this year! I am trying out fort Travel Basketball on Oct. 1&9, even though I haven't played a year of rec basketball in my life.. haah we will see how it works out;)
Also, I am in the shakespeare play.. we are doing the Taming of the Shrew! I don't have a big part.. I am Gremio. Almost everyone in the play has to split there part, so that kind of stinks. the play is on Oct. 4, so i need to get memorizing!
I am getting braces:P October 15 is the big day (happy birthday to Rebecca that day) and I get my spacers october 8th.
I am also trying our for All county band.. I have been practicing my flute, trying to get my music down pat!
Lastly, when the time comes, i am going to try out for all county chorus!

I am a busy bee! On top of school and homework, I will have all that, plus piano lessons, young womens( my youth group) and gymnastics! Even if I don't make travel, I am still playing rec basketball.. Which also means I have to quit gymnastics. Lots if changes.. it's gonna be a big year!

updates!

not to much has happened since I left Missouri, so heres just a list of updates:

1. Team 9, Mrs. Smith!

2. I am actually not painting my room in the Summer. See, I have no place to put the furniture while I am painting, so we have opted to wait until my brother Tommy leaves for college so we can store my furniture in his room.

3. Summer is slowly slipping through my fingers

4. I've had lots of sleepovers in the past week. Nikki and I had a sleepover, and it was so much fun! we took lots of pictures, and they didn't really turn out so well. haha put if you want to see them, just look at my facebook! Also, Lynsey and I had a sleepover to! except ours was double! Friday night, Lynsey slept over at my house, and we watched the premiere of Monk and Psych, and then we watched some of the first season of Pysch. We also walked to our friend Kentons house from church. haha we stayed there for like 45 minutes just talking. then the next day, my parents and brother went to a St. Louis Cardinals game in Pittsburg. I am normally up for a ball game, except we wouldn't be getting back until 3 o clock Sunday morning. And we had church the next day at 8. hmmm... I wouldn't be able to get up. SO, I slept over at Lynseys house instead, and I went to church with them the next morning! Lynsey and I watched 24, which is now like one of my favorite shows. I need to catch up though because I am only on season 1!:)

5. I've been working at the school for Service hours, and it's been a lot of fun! Erin, becca, Julia and I have had lots of fun and still got things done! hurray!

6. i've decided that I am going to buy my families christmas presents this year, instead of having my mom put my name on them. hopefully none of them see what I am going to get them...

7. uhhmmm.. I went to PA yesteday to See my Cousin Lauren and her son Carter! it was very fun, we went shopping, and went to dinner, and played croquet! haha I love going to Pennsylvania! ask me about our shopping trip when you get the chance...(:


* A mission is a two year trip for guys ages 19-21. they go to some place in the US or around the world, and they teach people all about our religion. they are aloud to call us on Mothers day and on Christmas! they can e-mail there immediate family once and a week, but write as many letters as they want! I know is sounds sad that they are gone for two years without much contact, but it's really amazing, because they are doing something incredible for our church!

4) GREET everyone with a warm handshake and ask him or her to call you Admiral.

5) MEOW occasionally.

6) STARE At another passenger for a while. Then announce in horror: “You’re one of THEM” - and back away slowly

7) SAY -DING at each floor.

8) SAY “I wonder what all these do?” And push all the red buttons.

9) MAKE explosion noises when anyone presses a button.

10) STARE, grinning at another passenger for a while, then announce: “I have new socks on.”

11) WHEN the elevator is silent, look around and ask: “Is that your beeper?”

12) TRY to make personal calls on the emergency phone.

13) DRAW a little square on the floor with chalk and announce to the other passengers: “This is my personal space.”

14) WHEN there’s only one other person in the elevator, tap them on the shoulder, then pretend it wasn’t you.

15) PUSH the buttons and pretend they give you a shock. Smile, and go back for more.

16) ASK if you can push the button for other people but push the wrong ones.

17) HOLD the doors open and say you’re waiting for your friend. After a while, let the doors close and say “Hi Greg, How’s your day been?”

18) DROP a pen and wail until someone reaches to help pick it up, then scream: “That’s mine!”

19) BRING a camera and take pictures of everyone in the lift.

20) PRETEND you’re a flight attendant and review emergency procedures and exits with the Passengers.

hey everyone! Wow, tomorrow I am going home! So much fun things have happened in these to weeks, I am going to miss everyone! I have to say though, I am ready to see my family and my Maryland friends again! So, an over veiw of everything that has happened.

Saturday Night at the ball game: We had the most AMAZING seats! they were so great! they were right by the opposing teams dugout, and we were so close to getting the fould balls that the players hit. I sat right nect to the dugout, and I could see in adn everything. I elt a little invasive, but I guess it's ok to look in, after all they put seats there! The Cardinals ended up losing, which stinks, because they won Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Oh well, it was still a very fun game!

Sunday: Baby Nate walked! Ellen and Andy left thought to go abck to Texas.

Monday: My grandpa went to the doctors, and Joey and I stayed home. We went to this awesome place called Steak and Shake, and then Joey left to go to the airport to fly home

Tuesday: I realized I lost my glasses! We searched high and low (literally) for the glasses, but they were missing! I was really mad at my self for losing them! Still not to be found, we went to my church to fill out a chart about my ancestors.

Wednesday: My grandpa went back to the doctors, and I spent the day at Melissas house! Mason and Kayla and I had fun(: Me and Mason made flubber, which is like a gooey kinda fun stuff! Still no glasses

Thursday morning: I had an idea! Maybe, my glasses were in my aunts car, from when I rode in her back seat on the way back from the baseball game! oh glory and they were! Thursday night I went to the muny which is an outdoor theater with my glasses! We saw the Music Man and they did a very good job putting this production on!

Friday: Stayed home, I think Melissa came over with Mason?

Saturday: I went to the most amazing resturant in the whole entire world. Gus's! It is a place where they make pretzels and put sasuge, hotdogs, or german hodogs in them. I got a brautzel (or a Germna hotdog wrapped up in a pretzel) abd it was sooo good. I get gus's about twice a year!)Then we went to the mall, where I didn't do anything. Then, we went to this place called Ben Franklins, which is this place with candy candy and more candy! So I got some pretty awesome Candy there! Saturday night, I went to a pottery place called your fired, and I made a bowl, adn 2 tiles! Saturday night I also spent the night with Elizabeth, and we watched I am Legend. That was a good movie! (Kinda scary though at some parts)

Sunday: Went to church

Today: I am going shopping! YAY! I am so excited

So I have had a very evetful week! Oh and somewhere in the week, I went to this amazing icecream place called Fritz's. It has such god icecream! yummmm(:

YAY! my baby cousin Nate (or Nate the Great as i like to call him..) took his very first steps today! We all knew Baby Nate was gonne walk soon.. he just needed an audience to see him!;) He walked just in time too, because they left to catch there flight about an hour later! We will miss Ellen, Andy, and Nate.. we had fun with them here in Missouri(:

Purina farm!

so, in St Louis Missouri, so far, I have done so amazing activities! Most recently, I went to Purina farms which is an animal farm! they had so many amazing animals, like cute little bunnies, and baby piglets and cows! It ws so exciting because we got to watch the cow get milked, and I got t actually milk the cow!! I have always wanted to milk a cow and I got to! Then we went around and we saw horses and ducks and geese! We also saw a 20 ft cathouse! I was like a doll house, only it was 20 ft tall! Then, we went to see a dog show! They train dogs to do tricks and run the agility course! Well, at the dog show, we were seeing who could throw the better frisbee for the dogs to catch, the boys or the girls! So the like announcer and trainer guy picked a boy and a girl from the audience and I was the girl! I like never get picked for that kind of stuff so I was like SWEET! the dog Hannah the dog caught one of the 2 frisbees I threw, and she also only caught one of the boys, so the boys and girls tied! It was so much fun though to throw the frisbee and show off my amazing frisbee skills to everyone in the audience(;

Then, later that night, we saw the 6th Harry Potter movie! It was an aamzing movie, and it was all laid out nice, EXCEPT, it barely followed the books plot! I don't knw hpw they are going to make the 7th movie as good as the book because they didn't include like anything from the 6th book! So I am waiting on what is going to happen!

Tonight, we are going to the Saint Louis Cardinals game, and I may have some pretty awesome seats.. so look for me by the dugouts(; Thats all for today! More later! Love ya all

beach:)

so, I went to the beach, and it was so much fun! We left Wednesday morning, and came back this afternoon. it was very fun. On Wednesday, it was perfect weather, warm and sunny. We went out in the water and there was some pretty big waves that knocked me over. the worst thing that happened was that I did a flip under water and hit my head. lol but I am used to hitting my head by now ;) On Thursday, it was windy and cloudy. I still went out on the ocean, but the waves were HUGE! it was one ginormous one after another! I am a big girl now, so I can go out pretty far. I used to not like going out so far but now it is fun riding big waves! I wanted to go to the beach again today, but my family didn't want to stay. thats OK though, the beach was very fun while it lasted! I am excited for tomorrow because my family is coming over for a party. My cousins are out from Idaho as you know, and we don't get to see them so often, so we are having almost all of my moms side of the family over at our house. this means that we will spend a lot of tomorrow cleaniong, but it will be worth it! I don't know if any Mormons are reading my blog, but if you are, I would like to leteveryone know my cousin Peter got his Mission call to pheonix Arizona! I am so happy for him! So, I will update you all later and try to get some pictures of the ebach and my new glasses up! comments are welcome:) Love ya!

new glasses!

So I got my new glasses today! YAY! Sorry I haven't updated in a while I was busy with my girls camp and my cousins comnig from Idaho! Anyway, my glasses look really good, so I am very excited to show all of you them! So on Saturday my cosuins came, and we went to the Natioanls game and they actually won! It was really cool! Then we went to Becks and I ate this really good chocolate cake that was delicious! then on Sunday we went to church. Yesterday, I went woth my cousins to Gettysburg and it was very cool to learn abut the civil war. we then went to Giffords last night, and it was so good, except I had a suoper bad stomach ache so I wasn't feeling good last night! I reccomend going to Giffords thpugh it is s good. It is in Pikesville! So Tomorrow we are go9ng to the beach and we come Fruday afernoon so I will tell you all about the beach thwn! I love you!

movies!

So today, I went to the library for two hours. No, I didn't spend all my time searching for books. In fact, I spent none of my time looknig for books. I worked there for serice hours! I am hopeing to get by with 14 service hours this Summer. I already have 26.5, but I have some forms to turn in. So, it is pretty fun in the library, but kind of boring. Come visit me on Sat. July 30th! you can sign up for the Summer reading program! Also, speaking of Service hours, does any one know how to turn in forms over the summer? if you do you know my e-mail! After the library, I went over to Nikki's house. Nikki and I discovered that we are both very good at making movies:) so when I go over there, we make movies! We didmn't have much time today, so we made a movie preveiw. When we get together in August, we will be making the actual movie. It is called "Revenge of the Super Spies" it will be an amazing movie! See my facebook acount in a little but to watch the movie preveiw! As of now, I am getting ready for Girls camp. I leav on Tuesday, and come back Friday. Packing is very easy for camp. They give you a list of items you need and it's just house hold items you get. you really don't need to buy anything! Kelsey isn't feeling good today, so we can't get together and talk about camp! I will put up oictures of girls camp after I come back, so you will get to see all of my memories:) Love you all lots:)

Haha yes I already did post once today, actually like 10 minutews ago, but I had other news I forogt to tell everyone! I am getting new glasses! yay! they are think blue frames, and they are Vera Bradely! they have a pattern on the side, and the best thing yet is that they come with a FREE Vera Bradely case! ISN'T THAT COOL? Now, it stinks though because I have TWO Vera Bradely cases! So I don't know which one I will use. I will probably coordinate them with my outfit! haha that will turn out cool!:) So I want to tell everyone about my cool eye problems. the eye doctor said I was "special". I have astigmatism, which means that you eyes are more long then they are circler! the astigmatism messed with my eyes, and made them be able to see things more particularly, and more concise. the eye doctor said they measure the chenge in your sights but quarters, halfs, etc. A normal person wouldn't pick up on a quarter change, but I did which means that I will notice the slight change in my eye sight the normal person wouldn't. so even though my eyes aren't that bad, they are getting worse and I noticed, which means they still have to put me on an eye prescription. so I can't wait to show you the new eye glasses I got! Yay! Love you again:)

Carnival!

well, this hasn't happened yet, but I am looking forward to a very exciting night! First, I have my friend Lynsey and her family from church coming to my house to eat Dinner. We are eating one of my favorite foods, Brautwurst. It is a German hotdog, and we used to eat it a lot when I lived in Germany! It is so good, so I am excited to have it as a treat every once in a while. After we eat dinner, Lynsey and maybe Kelsey and her sister Kristen, are going to the Carnival with me! I am very excited, because I love the carnival! I will post later to tell you about the carnival! Love you all:)

Summer news!

So as you all know, I used this blog in the Winter, but then nobody read it so I stopped posting. lol. but now I decided to start back up because ti's the summer and I don't know what is happening with some of my school friends! So, recently, nothing important has happened, except that ebery single one of my friends that lives in my neighborhood went on vacation all at the same time. I was very angry with all of them! but luckily, Kelsey comes back tonight! (I forgot she comes back tonight! YAY! I am excited!) Kelsey is my next door neighbor, and my best friend (for those of you who don't know) but I have lots of best friends, Kelsey is just the one I have known the longest! anyway, tomorrow I am nervous because I am getting my eyes dialated at the eye doctor. and it's not the actual eye drops I mind, ti's just that they BURN your eyes! there a pain! so when you see me in school though with my new glasses, it will all be worth it! So, I have nothing happening this week, except getting reayd for camp I am going to next week. I will be gone from the 30th-3rd, so I won't be updating all that week! I have to go to bed now, becuase I have to get used to getting up early in the morning, because they wake us up early at camp! I will probably give an update tomorrow about my new glasses! I feel like I am writing to no one. does nobody care? well, if you do then here is my most recent update. I made all county chorus! woo! also, I got straight A's on my report card! double woo! hmm.. well we are desecting a cows heart in science on Wednesday (ew.) um.. i almost got a perfect on my math test, but I made a stupid mistake. My social studies teacher got mad at me for it. (lnog story short, she was helping me for fractions in math, and i made a ton of stupid mistakes, and she told me i wasn't aloud to make any) so yeah no 100 for me. But whatever. I got an A. so.. if you care. Please notify me. for right now.. check out this awesome song...

Politics

Is it bad that I am confuddled by politics? I mean my teacher says that nobody should be mad at Obama because he is our president and we can't do anything about it. She is really taking it seriously because it is a historical event. But people should be aloud to express there veiws about the president right? I mean I like Obama and all, dont' get me wrong, but I mean really, what happens if we don't like the President. and How are we supposed to know which president to votr for? See what I mean? Politics don't make any sense! We have to watch the inaguration of Obama, or whatever the thing is called. I am not really happy about missing class time for that.. but whatever. Tell me what you think about it..
